Medical professionals and individuals with high biological exposure risk are vulnerable to airborne pathogens and contaminants, which can lead to infections and serious health issues. Current air purification solutions are often bulky, stationary, or ineffective, leaving a need for a wearable, powered air purifier that provides clinical-grade clean air for enhanced protection. 

ATATRI Design BIG project was to develop Powered Air Purifying Respirator with UV-C Filtration, Air Ionization and Passive Filter An all day wearable air sterilizer with higher than 99.997 microbial filtration by using combination of active and passive filters.
