It is very difficult to read the printed matter on tablet strips due to the very small font size and glazed background of the metallic strip. Also, once a tablet is removed from the strip, the printed matter is lost. This sometimes results in wrong dosage by patients. The other challenge is that the tablets can be easily accessed and consumed by children
The project aim is to build a machine which will attach one or more label sheets to the lidding sheet and create a Composite Lidding Roll. This roll (which has the lidding sheet + label sheet) will replace the lidding sheet roll used in sealing tablets between the lidding sheet and forming sheet
Problems being solved are:
1. Legibility and longevity of printed matter on tablet strips
2. Ease of printing and scanning QR codes on tablet strips This is being done by attaching a label sheet to the strip on which additional matter can be printed
