Through the duration of the BIG grant, Mandala Bioworks aims to demonstrate proof of concept for a handheld luminometer platform to provide a rapid, affordable, real time hygiene assessment to monitor disinfection quality in public spaces like hospitals, food and beverage industry etc.
The need identified was lack of a routine, cost-effective hygiene monitoring system across spaces which makes cleanliness maintenance very difficult and leads to multi faceted problems in various industries
