LBIS is working towards developing – plant based biodegradable; compostable food & beverage packaging material with an aim to eradicate plastic based food & beverage packaging materials.

Currently majority of packaging materials are made out of plastic which is proving to be
hazardous to the human health (due to micro plastic leaching) & planet earth, as single use plastic used for food packaging ends up in landfills after its use & stays there for centuries posing and big environmental problem. Hence plant based material in food & beverage packaging will provide a sustainable & eco friendly solution against single use plastic.
